Cholesterol is a topic we often hear about, but are Canadian women paying attention to their number? Many women are quick to put their own needs aside for the benefit of others. Yet while their hearts are in the right place, their heart health may not be – and as result, one in three Canadian women die each year from heart disease and stroke. Reducing your risk can start with knowing your cholesterol number.

Girls ages 5-15 years old will be all dressed up for the First Annual Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Ball. This event is not limited to dads but include Uncles, Grandfathers Step dads or even older brothers. Proceeds go to The Rainbow Society of Alberta, a charity dedicated to granting wishes for Alberta children diagnosed with chronic or life-threatening illness.
Doors open at 5 pm. Events goes until approximately 10 pm. Tickets are $75.00 per adult and $50 for first CHILD and $25 for each additional CHILD. Ticket price includes: Prime Rib Dinner with coffee/tea for Dad (Cash bar available), one child’s dinner buffet featuring all the favorites plus some healthy treats, a special girls only mocktail at the reception, a souvenir take home photo of dad and his girl(s), and a wrist corsage for the little lady.
Activities at the Ball will include hair bling for the girls, glitter tattoos, face painting, raffle, special guests and of course, the father/daughter dance - get those dads ready to Macarena!

Since its inception the Parents' Quest Gala has raised over $900,000 and committed $2.5 million to the experimental and applied therapeutics program at the Alberta Children's Hospital and University of Calgary.

Although family violence is a very serious matter, this is a fun and light-hearted event. On event day join local celebrities and other concerned men by strapping on high heels to find out what it is like to "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes." Shoes and lunch will be provided, so all you have to do is register as an individual, create your own team or join an existing team and come strut your stuff. Only men can register to participate, however we know from experience that women play a huge part in this event by encouraging men to take part, assisting them in fundraising to reach their goal and cheering them on during the event.
This is a donation-based event with no registration fee. The recommend goal per participant is $1,000 which will help us to reach our goal of $300,000 that much faster.

Once we find some, we'll bring them back and decorate them into creative pumpkin-head masterpieces! While the glue sets up, everyone can have a visit with their favorite animal friends in the farmyard. It's harvest fun at it's best! This makes one of those 'parties to remember'! And of course, all the children have their wonderful pumpkin to take home!
