Now, cutting is one of the world’s fastest growing equine sports with competitions all over North America. In fact, the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity presented by Wrangler is one of the highest profile ones. From October 13 through 17 the top open and non-professional riders will be in Calgary with their horses in tow. The focus of the event are the Futurity classes – those limited to 3 year old horses – and includes high level competitions for all ages of horses as they advance through their training. There is a lot of money up for grabs – over $300,000 in cash and awards.
