The Peter Lougheed Hospital offers an intensive care unit, a 24-hour emergency department and many additional specialized programs and services.
Solely dedicated to pediatric care, the new Alberta Children's Hospital is a free-standing facility specially designed--and decorated--for children. This innovative hospital includes sleeping facilities for parents within hospital rooms, babysitting services for siblings, pet visitation room and more. The hospital serves patients under the age of 18 not only from Calgary, but Southern Alberta, southeastern BC and southeastern Saskatchewan.
In addition to its 24-hour emergency department, the Rockyview General Hospital is dedicated to providing specialized medical and surgical care to all patients. Several ambulatory care services are offered as well as other clinics.
The Foothills Hospital operates in partnership with several local medical facilities including the University of Calgary (Faculty of Medicine), the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Grace Women's Heatlth Centre. The hospital has 700 beds and also features a 24-hour emergency department.
