Rothney Astrophysical Observatory + My Favorites
The Rothney Astrophysical Observatory (RAO) is administered by the University of Calgary and features one of the three largest telescopes in Canada. There is a visitor centre as well as classrooms and educational displays. The centre also features open house nights once a month (April - October) with facility tours, sky viewing, and astronomy talks. Telus World of Science (Calgary Science Centre) + My Favorites
The Telus World of Science is dedicated to fostering discovery and imagination in children of all ages. Interactive displays and exhibits are located throughout the centre, which change in theme and content often. SpacePort + My Favorites
The SpacePort at the Calgary International Airport feature a variety of exhibits and artifacts related to space and flight. An eight person flight simulator and other motion simulators, a video featuring astronaut Dr. David Scott (leader of the Apollo 15 Mission) and a moon rock are just some of the interesting things on display.
