The Telus World of Science is dedicated to fostering discovery and imagination in children of all ages. Interactive displays and exhibits are located throughout the centre, which change in theme and content often. Also within the centre, visitors can enjoy an educational show presented in the Discovery Dome. Inquire for further information.
The SpacePort at the Calgary International Airport feature a variety of exhibits and artifacts related to space and flight. An eight person flight simulator and other motion simulators, a video featuring astronaut Dr. David Scott (leader of the Apollo 15 Mission) and a moon rock are just some of the interesting things on display.
The Creative Kids Museum is the only children's museum in Canada that examines the arts. Interactive exhibits which focus on performing arts, music and visual art can be found within. Admission to the TELUS World of Science grants free access to the Creative Kids Museum.
The Rothney Astrophysical Observatory (RAO) is administered by the University of Calgary and features one of the three largest telescopes in Canada. There is a visitor centre as well as classrooms and educational displays. The centre also features open house nights once a month (April - October) with facility tours, sky viewing, and astronomy talks.
