Calgary Zoo The Calgary Zoo features more than 1,000 animals from all over the world. The Canadian Wilds, Aspen Woodlands, Rocky Mountains and the Northern Forests habitats are dedicated to animals native to North America. The Botanical Garden features several different gardens including a Butterfly Garden, a Tropical Garden and an Arid Garden. Near the main zoo entry point is the entrance to the Prehistoric Park, which features life-size models of dinosaurs that existed in the Mesozoic Period.
