    The first building in Calgary to meet green building standards, the Crowfoot Library features maximum use of natural light, extensive recycling and material salvage, and on-demand water heating. Library services include computers with internet access, a technology discovery centre, and a fireplace reading area with mountain and downtown views.

    W.R. Castell Central Library
    Located in downtown Calgary and across Olympic Plaza, W.R. Castell Central Library offers multiple floors of books, music, and reference materials. Public computers with internet access are available for use as well as several meeting rooms.

    Village Square Library
    Found in Calgary’s Village Square Leisure Centre, this location offers a wide selection of children’s and young adult’s books with storytelling throughout the week. A variety of other programs is available for adults, seniors, and youth.

    Memorial Park Library
    Alberta’s first public library, Memorial Park Library officially opened in 1912 as Central Park Library. The name was later changed in honour of the unveiling of the Calgary Cenotaph in 1928. Made primarily of sandstone, the library features a marble staircase, mahogany doors, and moulded plaster columns.

    Louise Riley Library
    Located next door to the Northill Shopping Centre, this library was named in honour of former chairman of the Alberta Library Board Louise Riley. In addition to this, Riley helped develop the children’s department in Calgary’s public libraries and was a children’s book author.
